QotD: Fictional Friend

What fictional character do you relate to most and why?

Pippi Langstrump, or in English, Pippi Longstocking, no doubt, has many resemblances with me. She's strong, awkward looking, always has her own way of doing things, and she stays in her childhood.

I also consider myself as some kind of a clown, something that Pippi sometimes takes role of. To make people cheer, or laugh, or smile is a personal accomplishment to me. 

However Pippi is much more stronger character than me. She can never be weak, while half of the time I act as a drama queen.Hope I can be as strong as her one day!

QotD: My <3

Who or what do you really love?

Instead of turning this into a whole mushy love confession thing, I'd like to state that my current love now is  myself, myself, MYSELF ... MUAHAHA

But right now, I just watched this highly anticipated movie of one of the best manga series I've read recently, Lovely Complex, staring Teppei Koike and Ema Fujisawa. It's really cute! And the characters are so alike the manga! cant you believe ??

I read Kompas, a national newspaper in Indonesia, and I read the Career section for job vacancies. Because I'm sick with my job and I need a more relaxed job!

OK, about QoTD, about my preference of OS, I think we should settle to what purpose it is that you mainly use your computer for. Cuz different purpose, different OS can perform to its maximal quality.
I used to use Windows, and I admit it's very easy to use. A couple days I've been "witnessing" Windows Vista which has a superb visual quality (but also very demanding in the resource e.g hardware).

Also, for a lot of my friend who are network engineers and some of the programmers, they are religiously using UNIX. Ubuntu is one of the popular Linux OS these days, I guess nowadays the geeks also want to get a pretty interface :)

But since I am a designer, I use my iBook mostly these days. It's very handy, it's small (mine is the smallest 10", still G4, I know it's ancient, but it got me by a lot of my workloads). For design, you get optimal interface using MacOS and with its minimum resource ( I didn't even add the memory from its package), still very good performance. Well, it hung also sometimes, but not as many times as Windows (scuse me, for windows users).

In the office, however I use windows NT for working, since it has Microsoft Outlook integrated, which is mandatory in my particular workspace. And I don't fuss about it, Windows is very versatile and if some people say people made mostly programs for Windows, well, maybe so, but also remember, most virus circling the 'Net is also meant for Windows.

All and all, I just think you should consider what you use your computer for, then decide what is your OS.
